weekend recap:

friday:
lots of laughter and silliness with Sara and Heather. New Moon was pretty good and let me tell you how WRONG it is that a 17 year old is as hot as Taylor Lautner. When he took his shirt off and the entire theater erupted in cat calls and screams i immediately felt like a pedophile.

saturday:
shea’s shower was lovely. lots of sassy girls in LBD’s and pearls. pics to follow this evening.

sunday:
lots of catnaps with cjm and eliza doolittle.

pure awesomeness.

AND it just keeps getting more exciting!!

My dear Sis in law (i hate calling her that) she is more like a sister….Sara is coming to stay and once we go grab HL from the airport, we are going to see New Moon.

sp there, i said it. i ain’t scared. i’ll be amongst the tweens and the hardcore twi-moms to see that hot little mess Robert Pattinson….

i guess that makes me a twi mom, too.

like i said…i ain’t scared. after all, this Bella married her Edward.

i almost forgot!

the anticipation and excitement of the festivities tomorrow has almost made me forget how SUPER pumped i am about THIS evening!

I get to go pick up my other bff from the airport Heather (HL) who is flying in from FL for Shea’s party! I hardly ever get to see HL, so I pan on burning the candle at both ends so I can soak up every second of my time with her….

Shea and Heather and I lived in an apartment off Western Blvd…Carolina Avenue to be specific….we were the ‘Carolina Avenue girls’ as Greg, our neighbor called us.

if the walls could talk in that place, i am certain there would be some hush hush money being paid ;) those were some of the most memorable times of my life. from the chicken and rice five times a week to the late night Harris Teeter trips to the Falcon Ridge drive bys to check on stalk our Trexler Court boys, we lived it up Carolina Avenue girls style!

This weekend we get to reunite an hit the downtown Raleigh scene once again. I cannot wait to wrap my arms around my two old roomies and reminisce of those nights we made those memories i’ll never forget.

i hope this is the feeling Shea gets this weekend when she arrives at our home where we are throwing her a ‘breakfast at tiffanys’ themed bridal shower/bachelorette party.

shea is my bestest bestie and she is getting married in TWO WEEKS! eeek! We were roomates for over 4 years and i can most certainly tell you that she knows me as well as my own sister….and i know her as well as hers too…and i know she is going to love the surprises i have in store for her this weekend!

we are all getting decked out in our hottest LBD attire, don our pearls and sip champagne to toast the greatest friend/roomate a girl could ask for.

love you gracie. happiness is what you deserve and happiness is what Jason has given you. i look forward to seeing you walk down the aisle and becoming Mrs. Brooks! and don’t delay on the honeymoon with giving Caroline a bFF!!!

update:

cjm is well on the mend. he visited the surgeon this week and he gave him some pain meds to dull the nerve impusles he is having. a .40 caliber through the leg can cause some seriously annoyed nerves to be vengeful. the bullet wounds are healing nicely. i am trying to convince him that he needs to get a bullseye tatooed on the entrance wound.

still a little soon for jokes, he wsays :)

cabin fever has more than set in..it has overcome his otherwise sane mind and replaced it with a book reading, outdoor channel watching cookie crazed couch potato.

ted nugent has been babysitting him during the day. he loves the hunting shows and ole ted is quite the sportsman.

and no….to answer the question i have been asked so many times since the accident: he does not plan to stop hunting or get rid of the guns.

and guess who dropped a nugget in the potty last night?

the little teething hot mess, that’s who!

i studied her as she got in her normal crouch when she goes number two so i grabbed her, sat her on the potty and bada bing…..we got a touchdown!

she is already grabbing at her diaper and says ‘pee pee mommy’ so i think her royal chubbiness will literally be sitting on her very own throne very soon…..

caroline is cutting more teeth......

not faring well in stage two of toothgate.

first round was a breeze. she was happy, content. i just went home at lunch to check on her and it broke my heart. she’s a mess.

frozen washcloths soaked in apple juice are the answer to life.

I am sure birthday cupcakes in heaven are super sweet, but i still miss your sweet little face.

I made a promise to keep your memory alive and with that said, your uncle Chris and I are going to eat a cupcake in your honor.
