Dear Sweet Caroline:
Given the fact that you are fighting this little cold you have, I expected you to be somewhat fussy and less than agreeable. I prepared myself for a long week of sleepless nights, inconsolable crying and all around uneasiness. To my surprise, you have been the same pleasant child you have always been. Your 102+ fevers and irritated little throat must be making you feel horrible and even still, you keep on keepin on.
You are such a blessing to your daddy and me and although I know you are incapable of understanding the full capacity of this right now, I know the day will come when you will. I know for a fact that you will never ever doubt that your mommy and daddy adore you. You are such a delight, my Sweet Caroline Eliza.

it’s yourself. ima go easy on you cause you are a blubbering idiot right now, but once you’ve gotten your hormones in check (what’s going on with you lately? geez!) i’m going to have to have a sit down to remind you to NEVER listen to ‘in my daughter’s eyes’ while at work. where you are in plain view of half your coworkers. where you are pouring tears. where you are snubbing. and seriously? anita? this is only like the umteenth time you have listened to it and you KNOW it gets you more choked up than any self respecting woman would want to get…in public, at that.
how bout switching to something to calm you but not make you look like such a girl. shut it down crybaby!!!

cjm took caroline to the dr. yesterday.
she’s been running a fever of 102 for two days and although she’s been handling it like a champ and showing NO symptoms of being sick (apart from the fever,) i erred on the side of caution and had her checked out. if anything, she has been more sassy than usual these last couple of days, but that’s another blog for later.
he sent this text to me yesterday while waiting to get the results back from her strept/mono tests. ‘they hurt my baby.’
he called me when they left and the poor guy was about in tears. of course, her royal chubbiness was cackling in the background, but dear daddy was all boogered up. i am checking for ptsd signs regularly. i now agree with him: he is not suited for checkups where shots are involved
turns out it’s a viral infection. lots of pediasure, yogurt and motrin.
ahh the joys of parenting!

Caroline got a new paci this weekend, thanks to my girl, KimBo. She loves this thing and I’ve already got Kim making her more.
Not that I have a hard time accessorizing Eliza, but this gives her the jeujz she needs to sass any outfit :)
